Zia [Luísa] Fançony

Zia [Luísa] Fançony (1946) started working for Rádio Clube do Bié. She moved to Rádio Clube do Lobito, at the invitation of Santos Ferrão, to join the Luanda programme (Rádio Ecclesia) and she also worked for two other stations of Luanda: Voz de Angola and Emissora Oficial de Angola, the latter under during the direction of João Oliveira Pires (after 1971). One of the notable programmes of her career was Hora da Mulher. She also worked for Emissores Associados de Lisboa (A Hora do Cafezinho), but later returned to her country of origin to work for Rádio Nacional de Angola. She was awarded the prize for radio journalism in 2007. Her academic qualifications include a commercial course and a degree in Educational Psychology.
